BIO: My name is Baron, and I don’t have a home.  My family took me to a pet resort, and then they never came back to get me.  I really, really want a home… but so far, I’ve been in several homes and they just weren’t a good fit for me.  My friends at MARR want me to be safe and happy, so they are holding out for the PERFECT home. Right now, I live at a boarding facility.  The people here are really nice, but there’s no couches to lounge on…. No windows to look out of… no one to take me on car rides, or cuddle with me.  I need someone who understands me! I am a big guy with HUGE paws… my MARR friend Cody who visits me here says they are the biggest paws she’s ever seen on a Rottweiler!  I like to show them off with my “shake” trick. She says I have beautiful, deep eyes and takes a lot of pictures of me. She says I am “insecure”… I think she’s talking about how I feel when I meet new people.  I just don’t trust people I don’t know, it takes me a little while to feel safe around them! But people who take things slow with me and let me take things at my own speed get to see all my tricks and I will gaze into their eyes until they fall in love with me.  I take treats SO GENTLY. I can sit, and down. I’m still learning how to walk nicely on a leash, but sometimes I’m just so excited to be outside that I can’t help but pull a little! I’ve never been around cats, and I get along okay with SOME dogs, but not all dogs… some of them are just too much sass for me.  A slow introduction will be best with other dogs. I don’t mind kids, but I really feel safer with older kids who can be very respectful of my boundaries and slowly get to know me.

Do you think you can be my forever home?  I sure hope so. I’d love a big, fluffy bed to call my own and an owner who understands me, is patient,  and tries to help me be brave about people. I’m a good boy, I promise.
