For those of you who are looking for a shadow or a companion, who will give you his undying love, look no further!  Brando is your boy.

Brando just had his 1st birthday this March. He is a smaller Rottweiler at only 60lbs and we don’t expect him to get much over 65lbs when he is full grown. (His foster mom affectionately calls him her “mini-rott”)   Although he may be small in stature, Brando has all the personality of a dog twice his size. This sweet boy may start off shy, but give him about 10 minutes and he will be your best friend. Brando loves to go for runs with his foster mom at the Park and then play in the water to cool off. Brando also loves to play with his foster siblings and will often work his way into the middle of the dog pile when they are all tired and ready for a nap. The foster mom has said that he sleeps on his back with his legs sticking straight in the air.  If that’s not a funny enough visual, he sometimes grinds his teeth when sleeps. (He must be dreaming of chewing on one of his favorite bones.) Brando is a natural cuddle-bug and is happiest when he is near his people. In fact, he often waits outside bathroom doors to make sure his people make it back out ok.

Brando is crate trained, housebroken.  He knows sit, stay, down and roll over.  He is also leash trained.  Brando is one of those dogs who does best with consistency and boundaries in a home, so we are looking for a home that will continue his training. In addition, because of his age and being a little on the shy side, we are asking for children over 8 years old.  We are hoping that Brando will be adopted in the St. Louis, Missouri area as his foster mom would love the occasional visit as he’s become a part of her life.
