Lokii
Lokii

Meet our lil' Lokii , her unique name is a derivative of the celestial being Loki, one of mischief.
Lokii is all puppy. She's a lot of fun. Lokii gets along with dogs and people.
Update: Lokii is also fascinated with snow! as where she lives had thier first snow fall yesterday ... what a curious girl she is. She loves the snow and doesn't want to come back inside with you until her lil piggies just cannot take the cold anymore .. It is so much fun to watch!
She is happy when she sees her people come home each day with tail wags and smiles.
She loves cuddle time and of course Mr. Bunny, as you can see in her photo.

Success!!
What a wonderful organization. We lost both our Male & Female last year to cancer, I couldn't imagine our lives without them. I started looking into your Rescue program & within a few short weeks, we had a bubbly little female. Lokii is so full of life & a absolute joy to ours. We would like to say thank-you for bringing her to our family.

Gretchen
Gretchen

Gretchen is a curious and gentle female with a very sweet disposition. Gretchen loves other dogs and gets along with cats. Gretchen listens well and is well behaved overall.
Gretchen is very playful and enjoys wrestling with two older rotties that belong to her foster family.
Success!!!
After having to put my little one (Krissy) of 15 yrs. to rest I began my search for another companion. I kept telling myself "good things come to those who wait". It took some time, but was well worth the wait! Along came Roslyn (formerly Gretchen). I recently adopted on Dec. 1st and have enjoyed her each & everyday since. She truely is everything I had hoped for and more. Thank you to all with MARR that bring rotties into our homes & our hearts. New Mom Stacey

Joshua
Joshua

Joshua came from a shelter as a result of a neglect case. After a short time in foster we knew he was destined for greater things!
Joshua was adopted in March of 2005 to a wonderful person who has proven with him what we knew all along, that he could achieve anything!
Way to go Joshua!!

Lucia
Lucia

Lucia attended the "Blue Ribbon Program" while at the shelter. This is a eight week program during which the dog goes to a local correctional facility where they are assigned an inmate. During this eight weeks they spend time socializing, grooming and learning basic obedience such as sit, stay, down and heel. Each animal that goes through this program has also had a rabies vaccination and is heartworm negative. Why she was overlooked after WE have no idea as she is a sweet personable young girl. Lucia is approx 1 yr old, was raised with children. She ended up in the shelter through no fault of her own, sadly sometime humans life events cause such things to happen.
She is currently living with her human family and their 2 dogs. Lucia will need further socialization and of course loving attention, as she is still basically a pup.
YAY Lucia has gone to live with a young couple in IL. Where is is loved and cared for by the whole family. She plays most days with her best friend a family members Lab.
Update
Lucia is doing great. You would never really know that she used to be a shy girl. She is quite the people person now. Lucia studied for the bar exam with me this past summer, and we found out a few weeks ago that I passed, which is good. She has filled out to be a pretty solid girl and quite strong. Lucia just went in for her routine shots, and she is up to 72 pounds. Lucia is still our rambunctious puppy girl, but boy is she a lover girl. We have adapted to be quite the happy family since I moved back for good in May. Lucia has been enjoying the cooler weather on our walks, and boy does she like the squirrels. Chris and I were married and went on our honeymoon the second week of October, and we had to call home to see how Lucia was doing because we missed her. She stayed with her Grandma, Grandpa, and Lucy, which I think is one of her favorite places to be. We could not be happier with Lucia. She is such a happy and lovable girl. Chris and I are hooked on Rotties forever.=) I sport my "I love my rottweiler" socks quite a bit.

Grace
Grace

Hi! My name is Grace. My mom calls me Piggy because I make little pig sounds sometimes. I am 6 years old and I live in Omaha, Nebraska. I used to live in Kansas, and I originally came to MARR as a stray. I was found walking the streets. I don't know why I wasn't in a home, because I am a VERY sweet girl. I love all people and cats! I'm also very well mannered and can sit, lay down, and speak. When mom puts my collar and leash on to walk, I always sit down so she can do it faster so we can get out the door. Walks and rides in the car are my favorite things to do outside of the house. I like soccer, but my furbrother doesn't like to share the ball with me. Sometimes if he's not around, I'll steal the ball from the human boy and chase it around the yard. If I'm inside I like to carry my squeaky toys around, and I LOVE it if you'll chase me and try and get my toy. We run around the dining room table over and over again sometimes, and mom can never get my toy from me! I don't even destroy my squeaky toys! I still have the same one Mom gave me when I came to live here in August 2005-I've even included a picture of me with it. It's my favorite one (even though I have about 15 others). I live with my mom and dad, a 9 year old boy, a 9 year old Boxer brother, and I have 3 kitties. I'm so happy to be with my family. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I have a nice king sized bed to sleep in with mom, dad and the cats. Sometimes, before we go to bed, I'll go climb in bed with the little boy because I love love love to sleep. If one of my parents gets up in the morning, and the other one is still in bed, I stay in bed. My Boxer brother always get up, but not me. I move over onto the warm pillows and go right back to sleep! Sometimes, when I sleep, my ear stand straight up in the air. That makes my mom laugh! I'd write more now, but I have to bug mom to take me for my morning walk. I'll stand and look at her, wag my tail and smile at her. If that doesn't work, I'll make little sounds, and if THAT doesn't work, I'll jump on her lap! That will get her out of her chair!! I love it here!!!
