9/25/14 Update:

Libby has been bounced around a little lately, after being adopted and then returned (no fault of her own!).  She then had to spend some time in boarding while her new foster home dealt with a broken ankle.  But she is once again in a place where she can relax and be a dog again!  (The bandages on her foot were just temporary to heal up a broken nail)

Libby was originally found as a stray so we're not entirely sure what kind of life she had before coming to MARR but she is a sweetheart and a really well behaved dog!  She gets along with other dogs and ignores cats, is crate and house trained and loves to play in the backyard with her toys.  She can be good with kids, but can get a little mouthy if she gets excited, so real small kids would not be ideal as she learns what is and what is not acceptable while playing.

We believe that somewhere in Libby's previous life she may have been mistreated, as she is very shy around men and also scares easily.  But we also believe that as she gets more comfortable in her surroundings, she will be able to leave those fears behind and be a great dog!  We're already seeing progress with her interactions with men, and with more time, patience and love, Libby will see that not all humans are trying to hurt her.

Libby will make someone a great pet, but will need time to get comfortable in her new surroundings, especially with men.  But if you are willing to make the commitment, we promise you won't be disappointed in this wonderful girl!
