    December 9, 2015 Update:

Walter is doing great.  He gets along with all my other fur babies, except for the cat who seems to tease him by sitting just out of his reach beyond the fence. He is just the sweetest, most easy going boy I have ever had the pleasure of fostering.    I definitely want him to find his forever home, but i must admit it would be very hard to give this boy up.

    November 3, 2015 Update:

Walter is the sweetest boy. He gets along with all my dog's and plays very well with the new puppy. He takes his insulin shots like a champ. He still does not like the cat. He is very easy going and likes to sleep with me. Must admit he is a bed hog. Any family who adopts him will be given lots of love in return.

    July 21, 2015 Update:

Walter is a happy-go lucky guy being fostered in Iowa that came to us due to a divorce, and he previously lived with 2 Chihuahuas and 2 young kids.  We believe that he would do best with older kids since he still needs to learn some manners.  He is working on "wait" but already knows "sit" and "down".  He is currently living with 3 Rottie fur-siblings and doesn't have any issues with them, but would not do well in a home with cats.  He loves to be by his humans and get belly rubs though!

Walter was diagnosed with diabetes at 7 months old and is currently taking shots twice a day.  He has managed very well with his shots and takes them like a champ.  His medicine is purchased over the counter and he lives a healthy, happy life and loves to play with his foster siblings.  He requires blood work once a year to maintain that his levels are good.

Walter is a handsome fella who is past the puppy stage but loves to play with humans and other dogs.  If you are looking for a great companion who is going to reward you with tons of nub waggin' - he is your guy!
