Characteristics: Ernie came into the shelter as a stray and he has been the happiest go lucky dog the whole time he has been in the shelter. Ernie is a young bouncy boy who loves people, kids and gets along with other dogs. He has leash manners and has been walked in parades. He loves loves loves toys! Ernie does not have any food or toy resource guarding. Ernie was tested with a cat. He did not lunge or try to attack it; he was within 2-3 feet of the person holding the cat and he just watched it. He is just interested in them. When brought closer he just smelled the cat. The cats run on the outside of the exercise area and he does bark at them then but he is not sure of what the are. Ernie needs an active household where he will get lots of love, attention and exercise!
