Bio: Hi all! My name is Gretchen and I would describe myself as a LOVER.  I am happiest when I am touching a human and he/she is petting me.  Sometimes my humans giggle because I groan and moan with enjoyment LOL! But I fancy myself a lapdog.  When I sit on the humans I get all the scratches.

I am a scared of loud sounds, or loud voices, and sometimes feel insecure outside or with new people. But once I get the courage to say hello to the new human and see that they have no ill intentions, I wag and plaster myself to them for petting.

My foster family thinks I was abused in my past with how I react to new situations.  Sometimes I run away or shrink to the floor.  Also, I have a lump on my ribs that the vet said was probably a broken rib that healed that way.  Possibly from being kicked. But I refuse to remember that part of my past. I am doing my best to be the perfect angel so I can have a special home of my own.

I will say I do remember having A LOT of puppies.  I have excess mammary tissue and skin hanging down from being bred excessively, which will probably not go away ever.

My foster family says that I am very quiet and very polite, and have great manners in the house and in the car.

I will admit, that I sometimes have accidents in the house, but I am working on potty training. In fact, I havent' has a single accident this week! I think my foster family is proud of my progress.

I do not like to be confined.  My foster family tried to put me in a kennel, but I am a very smart girl and figured out how to get out.  BUT... they caught on to how I get out now I will stay in.  I think once I master the potty training, they will be happy leaving me out! They constantly call me a sweetheart.

Oh, I forgot to mention.. I LOVE the little humans and I like other dogs.  I play with my two foster sisters quite a bit. I am unsure how I feel about cats right now, but I will be meeting another soon and maybe have a decision then.

My foster mom says she s absolutely in love with me!!!  She take me for car rides so I get to see new sights, sounds and smells.  It is so much fun!  But I would love a family I can call my own.  I know my foster family adores me, but they pledged to help many more rotties like me find their perfect home.  Could my perfect family be yours?
