Bio: Hi! Hi! My name is Xena! Oh my goodness, I am so excited to share my story with you I don't even know where to start.
Okay, so I am one year old and I have a TON of energy. Actually, my foster home thinks I might be mixed with a terrier. I like to run! I am fast and agile and can change directions on a dime. It's almost like flying! But my foster family says I can be really sweet too!
I love women. Men make me feel a little insecure right now. I am learning they are okay, but it is a slow progress. In fact, my primary human right now is an older boy. He is the one who feeds me and puts me in the kennel for bed time. I get nervous when he calls me to him or he reaches out to pet me, but after his first pet, I enjoy him petting me. I really like him when he is holding smelly treats in his hand.
Okay on to the fun stuff. I know some commands and tricks! I am learning shake. WAY easier when they have treats for me!!!! AND... I LOVE the car! So much so that it is really hard for me to sit still. I have to look out ALL the windows to make sure I get to see and smell EVERYTHING! Well, my foster family says that isn't safe for me, and now I have to wear a seat belt.. But at least I can see most everything.
Oh this is important to tell you... I LOVE getting brushed. It feels so good.
I am still a pup so I do get a little mouthy and I jump when I am excited, but I am learning manners while here. My foster home thinks that I may be best suited for a home that has older little ones until I have my manners down pat.
Oh, and I am potty trained. That is important to share, right??? And I do get excited when I do on walks and I pull on the leash. There are just so many things to do, and see and smell. But my foster family is teaching me to walk more calmly. They say that they are going to start "socializing" me soon. I really believe that it will help with my confidence! I even get to meet a cat this weekend. I can't wait to see what they are all about!
Did I mention I LOVE to play! I have a ton of energy! My ideal home is a family who will play with me, take me on walks, and car rides. Ohhh.. Maybe they will have another dog I can play with too. That would be so much fun! Do you think that you are the perfect home for me?
