BIO: This is Bear! Bear is a big, loveable, slightly insecure guy. Bear was surrendered by his owners because their young child wanted to be very cuddly with Bear, and it made Bear VERY nervous. This gorgeous guy does really like people, but in small (and calm) doses! He is really good at letting you know if he is uncomfortable, so that you can help him find that comfort again. He doesn’t do well in crowded, noisy or very busy environments and large groups of people make him very nervous too.
Bear is a big hunk of love at 105lbs. He is already neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations so he is ready to find his new special forever home to thrive in! Bear is house trained but will go in the house when he is angry (like when you leave the house and don’t take home with you he; he loves his car ride) Bear knows sit and shake. He does like other dogs, but occasionally there are one or two he doesn’t get along with; he seems to do better with larger dogs. He has not been around cats in the foster.
Bear does not care for his crate but has not shown any issues with chewing when left out of his kennel. He loves to lay up on the couch and enjoy a nap. Bear does is protective of his bones but not with food or toys. He also showed mild aggression at the vet, not sure if that was due to being in pain at the time of visit, unfamiliar environment or both. That was the only time Bear has ever showed aggression towards a human since he has been in foster with us.
