BIO: Governor is a sweet, lovable, 70 lb. protective guy who is looking for a Rescue only second chance.  He was surrendered to the shelter under a one-time bite incident to serve a bite quarantine.  During a heated argument between adults, a fist was raised against the owner causing Governor’s instinctive protective reaction.  A third adult stepped in-between to stop the dog and was bitten on the wrist.  While the owner believes Governor was acting in her defense, she is no longer comfortable with having him in her home while she is working through the domestic issues.

After spending much time with the shelter workers, he has been calm, loveable, wagging his tail and wanting as much attention as anyone will give him.

Governor is easily one of the nicest Rottweilers the shelter workers have seen.  He is very friendly with all staff.  He seems very well socialized and greeted everyone in a friendly manner with relaxed body language and wagging tail.  He knows basic commands and is leash trained.  He has a calm demeanor and doesn’t appear reactive to noise or aggressive movements.
