 Our volunteer base covers the states of NE, IA, KS, MO, WI, OK and IL.  We are NOT a shelter; operate with unpaid volunteers and do not have a central location.  We are all volunteers so please be patient because it may take a day or two to receive a reply. 
 
Please include the following information in your message so we can better assist you:

  • Is the dog spay or neutered?  (if known)
  • Is the dog good with kids?  (if known)
  • Is the dog good with cats? (if known) 
  • Is the dog up to date on vet care? (if known)  
  • An email address at which we can contact you
 MARR receives dogs from private shelters, Humane Societies, animal control facilities, and other organizations where a dog was abandoned. In most cases we adopt from the shelters as a "last resort" adoptor, giving the shelter maximum time to adopt the dog through their system. If you have a rottweiler in need of rehoming, and he/she meets MARR criteria, then we also may be able to assist by posting as a Courtesy Listing both on this website and our Petfinder site.   Our organization does not accept dogs into foster care from private homes/individuals.
