Characteristics: Ruby is a sweet girl. She listens well. She has a lot of energy. She loves food. She is the more dominant one between my two dogs (Luna and Ruby). Ruby can be a bit skittish at the vet. The owner is now divorced with 3 kids (1 with Down’s Syndrome) and she can no longer adequately care for the dogs. She recently had to move off the acreage and the new living situation is not working out with the dogs. It would be ideal for Ruby and Luna to remain together as a bonded pair.
Notes from evaluator: Ruby loved me as soon as she met me. She is very friendly and knows sit, stay, come and down. She does not pull on a leash and is calm. She has not exhibited any resource guarding with food or toys. Ruby is very excited for a toy and will play fetch and release the toy to you. Overall Ruby is very friendly, smart and confident. Ideally Ruby and Luna can be adopted together as they have been together since Luna was a puppy and they get along wonderfully!. Ruby will make someone a great companion!
