BIO:

My name is Zoey and I am 9 years old.  But don’t let my age scare you away, I still have a lot of life left in me.  I still play like a puppy, but I am also content laying at my human’s feet or cuddling on the couch with them.  My foster parents tell me there is someone out there that really needs me.  I am very loyal and would make a great companion.  I know several commands such as sit, stay, come, down, and lay down.  I walk well on a leash and love to go for walks.  Although my foster parents don’t have any children living at home, they do think that I would do just fine with older children; and younger children with supervision. I get along well with other dogs and cats too!

I am house trained and kennel trained, however, I prefer to just hang out around the house rather than be in my kennel.  I do have a little bit of separation anxiety. However, my foster parents are working with me on this and giving me a lot of love and reassurance to build my trust.  I do have a fatty tumor on the lower part of my right side, but it doesn’t bother me at all and I hope it doesn’t bother you either.  I am a very happy, sweet girl and very low maintenance.  I will need a home with a fenced in yard though because I like to run away from home.  I don’t know why I do this, but I believe that is why I ended up at the dog pound.  I have met some new people since being at my foster home and I like everybody I meet.  My foster parents say that I am a really good dog.  I just want to be loved and have a furever home of my own.
