Our family has loved this dog fiercely for almost four years, but after a biting incident, we are no longer able to keep her. Maddeningly, she has been the best dog we have ever had.
She is calm, loving , and one of the most intelligent Rotties I’ve ever known. She is the ultimate companion animal, always seeking to stay quietly by your side or cuddle in your lap. She LOVES water and car rides. She loves to sit on our deck and quietly observe all of the animals running around the Milwaukee River.
However, in the last 2 years a CCL injury that never healed properly seems to have started this aggressive/defensive streak. This injury, coupled with the fact that our family does not have the skills necessary to correct these behaviors has led to a biting incident.
We are faced with either euthanasia or getting lucky enough to re-home her to an individual that is capable of providing an aggressive dog with a good life.
It breaks our hearts to put her down, but we would rather do this than give her to someone where this happens again. However, if there is someone out there with the advanced experience and energy to give Blue a second chance, she will make a wonderful companion!
