Characteristics: Dooby is a very healthy puppy, playful, loves people and other dogs, loves to eat and get treats.  Dooby was part of an accidental  litter with the daughter’s dog and the mother is trying to find a good home for Dooby as she cannot care for him properly.

Notes from evaluator: Dooby loved me from the very start and did not show any timidness upon meeting me.    He lives with 2 male dogs and does great. Dooby took treats from my hand calmly and gently.  When I started to pet him he was very friendly and encouraged more contact.  He is at a healthy weight and his coat is shiny.  Dooby needs general puppy training but after some work while I was there he did learn sit and down.  He will also need some leash training as he was confused and unfamiliar with the leash; over time he began to follow basic cues.  He does not resource guard food or toys.  Dooby is very excited for fetch  and a toy.  He brought the toy back but didn’t want to release it.  He did trade for a treat.  Dooby is a very energetic and playful puppy who wants to be everyone’s friend.  He is very quick to learn and was eager to follow.  He is very food driven and seems like he will be easily trained.  Overall, Dooby is a wonderful boy who just needs a little training to smooth out the rough edges.  I think Dooby will do well even with an inexperienced rottie owner.  He is part husky so his energy level may be higher than your typical rottie but he will be a great addition to a family and he has lots of love to give!  Please see the video of this handsome boy:
