Characteristics: Gemma is very sweet but she does take a little bit to warm up to new people. She adores Nia, the tech who brought her to me. Gemma is very treat motivated. She knows sit but that is all for commands. She doesn’t take treats very gently, but it wasn’t aggressive either. She came into the shelter as a stray and was timid at first. She did growl when she first came in but that has been the only time. Perhaps Gemma was only with other male dog wher she came from but she literally lifts her leg to pee! She has to learn how to be a girl dog😊.
