Characteristics: Gus, the rottweiler in our care is a real sweetheart. Although he barks when he first meets people through his kennel and can display a rough exterior, once you are inside with him, he claims all the attention. He grumbles for food, but has not displayed food aggression. He loves food and takes treats very well. He walks on a leash well. He is quite energetic when out of his kennel and playful. Gus does have barrier issues and will bark when in his kennel, but once outside his kennel he is fine.

Notes from Evaluator: Gus is a wonderful boy! He is tolerant and very playful and will play fetch with you. Animal Control employees let him loose within the office because he is calm and playful in nature. Gus does great on a leash with very little pulling. Gus will be a wonderful family pet, he just needs a little TLC to get his skin issues resolved.
