Jackson was left behind when his family moved away. He had spent most days and nights outside without proper veterinary care and as a result, he is now being treated for heartworms. But this has not stopped this sweet and wonderful boy from being a loving as can be. He loves all women immediately and warms up to men quickly. He seems interested in cats, but we are not sure what his intentions are with them! He knows a few obedience commands and is very trainable. He is NOT destructive and his bed and toys are all in perfect order. He does seem to have an alpha personality and is dog selective. He would need to be introduced carefully to another dog to make sure it’s a successful match. But he is the kind of dog that will become best friends with another dog if he likes them. With his heartworm treatment, he would require someone who is willing to continue the treatments in the Kansas City area until they are complete in approximately the end of February 2021.
