Characteristics: OAKLEY IS VERY LOVING GIRL, BUT NOT FOND OF OTHER BIG DOGS. HAS ONLY EVER BEEN ON AN UNDERGROUND FENCE. SHE CAN JUMP REGULAR FENCE. LOVES KIDS, CAR RIDES AND LOTS OF PLAY AND LOVE.

Notes from evaluator: Oakley is very very sweet and gentle.  She let me touch her all over and went on her back for belly rubs a lot!  She almost went to sleep when I was rubbing one of her feet!  She gives great hugs!  She has the most beautiful eyes with one light one and one dark one. She does jump some.  She does well with kids and small dogs.  She had an issue with the bigger dog in her prior home (Teresa’s daughter) but it came on suddenly while the owner is going thru a hard divorce and it’s been really stressful.  So I think Oakley was sensitive to that.  Teresa said she has “been a different dog” since she came to live with her.  Teresa’s daughter has had Oakley since she was a puppy.  Oakley spends most of her time out on a tie out because she will jump a fence in a heart beat.  She does get to stay inside in the “small house” next to Teresa’s trailer with one of the grandkids that is staying there for the summer.  She is potty trained.  She just came out of heat so is not spayed.  She is NOT up to date on shots and hasn’t been heartworm tested.  She took treats very gently and knows sit and down and shake.  Teresa said she can have the fence between her and the other dogs and all is good.
