Characteristics: Osiris is being rehomed as the owners are relocating and moving to a non-friendly rottie state.  We acquired Osiris at six weeks and he has been in a home with two cats and three children during the last two years. He is very loving toward our family and enjoys playing and being pet by all of us.  He knows basic commands. Initially he socialized well with other dogs, but in March 2022 he was attacked by another dog and required surgery on his hind leg. He has not been re-socialized with the dogs post that incident. The challenges with him have been over stimulations when we have guests in our home. He likes to jump on others which can be intimidating because of his size. He enjoys being very active with outdoor play and toys. He is an affectionate dog that enjoys snuggling, being close, and lots of petting. He enjoys puzzle-like activities. He enjoys eating fruits and vegetables as snacks. He is truly a member of our family and is well loved.  He will be a great addition to a new family and we are heartbroken we can’t take Osiris with us!

Notes from evaluator: Osiris is a cuddly love bug! He loves treats and takes them gently. He loved and sought out pets. He is in good health although he could lose a tad bit of weight. He knows sit, lay down. He is very excited when meeting new people but settles down pretty quickly. He is occasionally a little mouthy if ignored but not with a lot of pressure. Osiris does need some more training as he is a counter surfer. He does not care for his paws to be touched and pulls away so he is taken to the vet for nail trims. He isn’t destructive but does like to shred paper if given a chance. He hates vacuums but loves being brushed. Because of his size, I recommend a home with older children even though he has done well with the little ones. Slow dog intros is also recommended and an active household with a yard will be ideal!
