Paris update!!
She’s holding at 65lbs. Still need to add about 10 more pounds. She had a corticosteroid injection and was switched to an allergy specific food. She’s going to start allergy shots next week. I’m so happy to be doing more to help this girl!

Paris is up to 65lbs! It’s great to see her putting on some weight.
We got the results of Paris’s allergy test! She is extremely allergic to fleas, (good thing we already treat all the dogs monthly!) dust mites, and storage mites. I had never heard of storage mites. So, lots of dog bed, carpet, and upholstery cleaning. Paris will either have to eat canned food, or I’ll have to buy small bags of dry food, keep it in an airtight container, and freeze the rest until it’s needed. Paris will likely always need Apoquel or an injection for itchiness. Her skin will probably never be perfect, but her hair is growing back and we’re on the right track!

Paris had her blood drawn for allergy testing today. We’ll have results in the next week. Also, her Apoquel arrived today. Thank you Robin Jenkins! Thank you all for making it possible for me to help this girl!
Update!!
An anonymous rescue angel has paid Paris’s vet bill in full!! I am beyond grateful. Thank you! I also received a personal donation and funds from gofundme. This will cover her medications and go toward her spay and vaccinations. I am excited to be able to help Paris and I am humbled by the generosity I’ve seen today.
Thank you all so much for making it happen! #TeamParis
Paris Urgently needs allergy testing.
Paris came to stay with me on 3/5/17.
Here’s what the shelter staff had to say about her, “I am reaching out on behalf of a female Rottweiler here at our shelter. We have named her Paris and she was found stray running with another Rottweiler (who has since been adopted). Paris has a horrible skin infection, ear infection (clearly chronic) and even discharge coming from our eyes. We have consulted a veterinarian and started treatment, but we would love to see her go into Rescue where someone may have the resources to do more. The vet estimated her at 5-7 years old. She has passed a behavior assessment, and even as she is painful with her awful ear infection, we have never seen any signs of aggression. She is even good with other dogs, and ignores cats.”
Since arriving here, Paris is doing better. She no longer has green discharge constantly running from her nose. She no longer screams in pain when someone touches her ears. Her Eye infections are gone. Her hair has started to grow back. She’s starting to know what it’s like to live a normal life in a home.
Unfortunately, Paris is still miserable She itches constantly. Skin scrapings were done. She does not have mange or external parisites. We were scared that she had Lymphoma of the skin, but a skin biopsy ruled that out. The vet has determined that Paris has some sort of allergy causing her to have seeping sores that scab over. The itching is unbearable for her. I put the e-collar on her so she doesn’t itch herself raw. She cries because it itches so bad and now there’s nothing she can do about it.
Paris needs allergy testing so we can know what she needs to avoid. We’ve transitioned her to a grain free diet. She’s getting medicated baths every other day. She’s on Apoquel to help with the itching.
Please help me get this girl some relief. Blood draw allergy testing is $300.
Thank you for reading her story. She is the best foster dog I’ve cared for.
