Evaluator Comments: Ruby is timid/reserved and needed reassurance from owner the whole time we were there. I don’t see her as dangerous or aggressive. She wants to be left alone it seems because she does not have the socialization and training needed to be a good family interactive dog at this time. I absolutely believe she could become a confident, loving pet in the right home with the right training and reinforcement. She is protective of her owner and obeys her commands, so I see hope for her. Ruby has been through a lot and needs someone she trusts and is with her consistently. She did not strike me as a depressed dog, but a dog with no purpose. She did not seem like she belonged anywhere- this is her home, yes, but this is not where she thrives. She seem like there is a great dog in there waiting to be coaxed out.
