Characteristics: Scout is an unclaimed stray that shows signs of being used for breeding. She can almost jump over a 6 ft fence. She is outgoing, sweet, friendly with people she is familiar with. She enjoys playing with toys and fetching. Scout is a staff favorite with her sweet and silly personality. Scout has been unable to successfully meet other dogs at the shelter, but was brought to the shelter with another Rottie, a male. They did get along while at the shelter. Scout is very smart and already knows a few basic cues: Sit, Down, Stay and Come! Comments from evaluator: Scout is a love bug once she decides you are OK. She just wants to be by you. She laid next to me when I was on the floor with her and when you stop petting she looked back like “hey, why did you stop?” Scout loved playing with balls and toys. Scout does not like high energy yappy dogs and has been reactive with females. Scout is a great dog but will need someone familiar with rotties and willing to work her her as she is leash reactive. She will need slow intros with any dogs but another male is probably best. Scout has a soft deadline of approx Feb 1st at the shelter!
