BIO: Shadow is a big guy at 130 lbs. Shadow’s owner was a vetran who became homeless, so his friends at Dusty’s Doghouse helped him out by giving Shadow a place to stay for awhile while his owner got back on his feet. Unfortunately, his owner never returned for Shadow. Shadow needs a home (or rescue) that is experienced with rotties and other big, stubborn breeds and that is willing to continue to work on his boundaries and socialization. His caretakers at Dusty’s haven’t been able to introduce him to any other dogs, cats, or kids during his stay, so a home with no other animals or the ability to keep him safely separated would be ideal. He is slow to warm up to new people, men especially. But once he does, he loves attention! He also has some resource guarding issues, which can be managed or even fixed with training. His caretaker at Dusty’s is also willing to help transport Shadow to the right forever home. Are you the forever he’s been waiting for??
