Characteristics: Wookie is a high energy 3 year old male (neutered) Rottweiler. He currently resides in a home with a 14 y/o female pitbull, 3 y/o male pitbull, 1.5 y/o human, and 2 adults. Wookie needs to be the dominant male and center of attention. Wookie loves to play fetch but is protective over his toys & food. He has gotten into arguments with his fur siblings over toys & food. Wookie would do best in a home with older children and being a single dog. Wookie loves to run and play and would do best in a home with lots of space to run. He has done well with every dog he has met at the dog park. He is up to date on vaccinations and has no health issues at this time. Wookie is crate trained and will follow basic commands. He does have a very loving and cuddly side to him – typically displayed at night around bedtime.

Notes from Evaluator: Wookie greeted us at the door wagging his tail. He was happy to have company. He did jump and wanted constant attention from us. Wookie wants to play but tends to be rough with both male and female dogs. At home he plays too rough with resident male dog and did get into a fight over a toy. He does want to be the dominant dog. Wookie took treats gently and loves being petted everywhere and anywhere. He knows sit, lay down and loves to play. He was so excited when I brought the ball out. He sat down immediately with his tail wagging. Playing fetch is one of his favorite games. Wookie is such a sweet dog. We fell in love with him the minute we met him. I honestly think Wookie would be fine in a home with other dogs and children. He does fine with dogs at the dog park and has 2 resident dogs. I think the problem with the current home is there is no supervision between the dogs and between the dogs and the child. Overall Wookie is a very sweet, energetic boy and will make a great addition to the right homw!
